Too Cold and Too Wiggly

Last Friday was COLD - and around here, that means a damp skin numbing cold. Add some wind to that and you are chilled to the bone in a matter of minutes.

We use to live in Colorado - we didn't consider it to be cold until it was below freezing during the day.

Here - if it's below 50 - you are chilled to the bone!

I've heard many a northerner comment to that effect - that our cold was "colder".

And in the summer - our hot is hotter. It's the humidity and the wind (or lack of it in the summer).

So in spite of the fact that the two kiddos were getting more and more fussy and bouncing off walls - I just didn't want to send them outside.

I even let the stinky dog stay in for the day!

KENDRA TO THE RESCUE!!!



Withing minutes she had them happily wiggling, doing sit ups, jumping jacks, giggling, and following her every move.

And she kept talking in the silliest voices - which would send Bethie into fits of giggles.

They Ran ... They Jumped ... They sang ... and wore crowns?

And they did leg lifts and ....

wait...

is that her SHOE talking?

What?

Ahhh...

the giggles were for Kendra's impromptu shoe puppet.

Well.... what else do you do with a shoe with a big crack in the bottom?

Don't YOU run around talking with your shoe?

You ought to try it... she had them doing ANYTHING she wanted!



And I guess she needs a new pair of shoes for summer. Sigh.... what is it about kids and shoes?
