Mamaw was quite delighted with her simple gifts. She loved the soaps and washrag - but thought Santa was a teddy bear because she was looking at the back. Vannan had wrapped it upside down.
Earlier Joel and the girls had opened their gifts from Aunt Rhoda and the boys. Joel loved the crayons. The girls liked the salves and hand cream that Rhoda had made.
Papaw liked his gift - but I don't think he knew quite what to do with it. We probably should have made him something to eat.
It was nice to see them up and about after their long stay in the hospital during and right after Thanksgiving.
Vannan bopping around to her MP3 player. Her favorite headphones are in pretty bad shape though.
Notice the apron... that is left over from her "I'm a hobbit" days. And she made such a CUTE one too! Too bad she outgrew the rest of her hobbit dress. She loved watching Lord of the Rings - and has seen 1 and 2, but not 3. I was hoping to pull it out and watch it over the holidays - but with everyone sick - we just ran out of time.
