Table Upgrade

Do you see the big table in the background?

We've had that table for about 12 years now - and once I liked it - but not since we moved it into the middle of THIS kitchen. It simply did not work! It was a bit too wide and made worse by the high backed chairs.

I discussed this with my in-laws... to see if they had something already in storage ... and they didn't

BUT

Saturday they brought me/us this!!!

Isn't it wonderful!!!

Joel just HAD to try it out by cutting an apple for his snack.

The girls LOVE the wood grain. I love that it has square corners and a bit more narrow than the other one - so we can walk past the dishwasher with the door open!

And the bench can be completely pushed under the table.

It was so much easier teaching my 4 preschoolers on Thursday.

The girls put the table cloth on the table - it's a bit short on the ends - but works.

One more organization problem .... sort of solved. It is still sitting in the middle of the kitchen and gets regularly dumped on by anyone passing ... but BOY is it a HUGE improvement in moving around and getting under the table.

YEAH!!!!!

(oh, Joel does not cut up his own apples ... yet ... his sister did it for him)
