We started out our new year with a positive attitude and lots of singing.

| Joel watched tons of Magic School Bus ... his favorite shows are about electricity and energy. |

| Rue put the 4 puzzles together a ton of times. |

| We had fun playing with my new 99c cell phone. |
 |

| For nearly 3 weeks - these two played candyland almost every day. |
 |
| The weather turned frieghtfully cold, so we resorted to candles to warm our hands. |

| We had Christmas with Aunt Viv - Kendra was still working on her gift. |

| I asked him if he got a loaf of bread with that? Well - as a matter of fact, he got a note promising a whole loaf of homemade bread! |

| The girls loved their gifts ... especially the ones with a story to go with them. |

| Rue tried to trick us into spending the night. |

| But she kept giggling. |

| School eventually started back up. |
 |
| Jan 8 - I had noticed that all of Joel's long PJ's were too small. I prayed for larger sizes, but hoped Joel would make it to the end of the winter without coming out the bottoms. One day a friend brought us a bag of clothes. Inside were THREE long PJ's - all the right size. He should get next winter out of them as well. |
