Update 6pm - 3 - 5

Kendra spent the day with her Dad.  She seems to have enjoyed her time with him.

My dad took me and the other 3 down about 4pm.  His brother, his wife, and their son were there when we got there.  Tim even laughed a bit at the boys mild rough housing.  LaRue was asleep when we got there, and slept at least 30 or 40 minutes.

Tim was alert, talked a  lot, watched basketball, and even made a bathroom trip - though the last seemed to make him more tired than any of the other activity.  He seems to be enjoying company a lot.

Right now we are in "wait to see" mode - no news until the tests are run and decisions are made on Monday.  The test is to see how much of the heart is still functioning that is supplied by the blocked artery that they haven't messed with yet, and just how much of a long shot it would be to get it supplied if it is still viable.  More or less - as we understand it.

When will he come home?  We don't know.  Some nurses have talked about rehab - others seem to indicate they will send him home maybe on Monday - but there is mostly guessing about this.  Frankly, with us 20 minutes at least to a hospital, I would rather him spend a couple more days there healing than risk one of the little ones accidently bumping him wrong and starting an incision bleeding - but I'm not sure how much of a risk there will be after 4 days either.

Best case, he will come home "soon" and should "recover" by 6 - 8 weeks.  We are not sure what that means at all.   At this point, we are very much in limbo, while things are looking great right now, he still could relapse.

Not much for answers, are there?

Most of the questions we ask, we get "I don't know yet." as an answer.

Tim does have his cell phone and computer with him - call and email - he loves the attention.
