Joel's Newton Shirt

Vannan designed it ...

And Aunt Cindy made it for Joel ...

It's a play on Newton's Laws of Motion.

And if it is clean ... he's got it on!

Feb 27 - Goofing Off With Sibs

Tickle Fight Rough Housing .... Joel BEGS for this.

I wish you could see his face, he was laughing so hard.

He laughed so much that he can barely move and Vannan (or Kendra) just roll him around.

They walk off and he runs after them begging, "Do it again!!!"

Boys are strange.

On the other hand, the baby sister want to do Princess Poses.

Haven't a clue what's up with the bottle.  She was filling it up with sand!

Too cute!

Joel's Dear Santa Christmas Wish List

This list is for the handfull of relatives that usually ask what the kids want for Christmas.

I posted LaRue's List on Monday - http://weshallmountupwithwings.blogspot.com/2013/11/larues-dear-santa-wish-list.html

Joel is a mellow fellow - but he's very observant and likes to peruse the sales ads that come through the house and he's a deep thinker.  He's got a tiny room, so not much fits, and he prefers items that are small, compact, and multi-use.   There are things he has and loves (like his cars) but he says he has plenty and if he gets more then he would have to get rid of some of the ones he already owns.  He loves "fire" colors.  He is heavily into science and inventing things.  He loves to read - especially "true books".  So we made a LONG list of things and he sorted and prioritized it all by himself.

Joel's Amazon Wish List - http://amzn.com/w/59JSW0D5VG41

#1 Wish - Android Tablet

He wants to read the Kindle books that he sees at the library or we've picked up for free.  He wants to load videos and MP3s to watch and listen to them.  And he loves games like Angry Birds, Where's the Water, Cut the Rope, and similar games.  We are looking at ones with an SD slot for expanding memory, since we'll be using it mostly without the wi-fi option.  And it will need  a protective cover.  Also, the girls advise it to be Google Play ready.

These are 2 that sound good ... there are a few others on the Amazon Wish list.    These need to be easy to return if we need to exchange it.

We would happily go in with someone to help get him a better functioning quality one.

Note 1/5/14 = Joel has $60 of the amount needed to purchase an Android.

#2 Wish - Games

Joel loves playing games, and spends many hours teaching Rue how to play them.  He prefers games that teach new skills, use motor skills, or let him learn something new.   Here are a few that have caught his eye.

#3 Wish - Hatchet AND a Swiss Army Knife  ....  Important Boy Tools.

#4 Wish - Umbrella

You know ... so he doesn't get wet when he has to go to school everyday... especially when it rains.  And he doesn't have to beg a "girl" umbrella off of his sisters.

#5 Wish - Water Bottle - a big one with a big opening for ice

#6 Wish - Microwavable Warm Up Stuffed Animal Friend - Aromatherapy Tool

These have special Lavender laced microwavable insides that help keep a child warm on a cold night or day, it can also be placed in the freezer during the summer to help keep a child cooler at bedtime.

#7 Wish - Electricity Science Kits

This has been a passion of his for nearly a year now.  He did get a few kits for his birthday - but he is endlessly asking questions about electricity and how it works.

#8 Wish - Boogie Board

Because the cousins have one and it's so fascinating.  Electronic version of those black wax paper tablets that you would draw on and then lift the clear plastic to write something new.

#9 Wish - Marble Roller Coaster Kit

Wants to build roller coasters and things like the Rube Goldberg machines that he loves to watch on his videos.

#10 Wish - K'Nex Building Sets    (He got 2 sets!)

#11 Wish - Lego Sets

# 12 Wish - Cowboy Gun

He doesn't know that this one uses caps.  He would probably be even happier with a BB gun pistol like his big sister has.

There are more ideas on his Amazon wish list.  He is hoping for a more reliable alarm clock - digital with the temperature on it like my travel alarm clock.  And snacks are always a hit.   Books about electricity or science or how to build lego things or inventions would all be welcomed as well.
