My Clean Kitchen

Last Thursday, my MIL and best friend were at my house helping conquor the misplaced items from the "Project Joel's Room".

My table was filled, and so was the sidebar.

We were getting behinder and behinder with me next door trying to teach school.

They found the table (which Tim has since buried during project "Wage War on Roaches")

They found my sidebar.

But my thriving plants still needed water.

So I did that.

Joel’s Clean Bedroom

 DSCI3151

Except for the cabinet to the left – this is how his room looks now.

After they climbed on top and started jumping at the bed – we removed it.

His creation mural from Jr. Church.  Way Cool.

The dresser at the foot of his bed is removable – and we can extend the bed with a longer mattress – just have to get it out of storage.

I’m wondering if it is worth it though, as Joel is now sleeping on Vannan’s bed most nights, and Vannan sleeps next door in the room with Marriana.

Kendra Makes a Hamburger

Kendra made a hamburger.

She was quite pleased with it.

And she happily went to finish it off.

Vannan was not too sure about it.

Sleeping with Trains

One of my sounds on my sound machine is trains.

Joel loves it.

He couldn't/wouldn't go to sleep the other night.

Finally crawled on the couch (he says his bed is too small) and curled up around the trains and was asleep in less than 5 minutes.

Stars at Preschool

We picked up where we left off about stars back in June. I was surprised how much they remembered.

We're back down to our original three.

Bethie, Matthew, and Joel ... but Marriana sits in and is learning to LISTEN and FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.

So we talked about stars - and pretended to look for them in the sky.

Then we cut out triangles and had them make "Star of David" stars.

Some of the big ones helped.

And they always love the gluing part of the projects.

Mommy, what's on your shoe? By Joel

Mommy, you gots mud on your shoe!

That not mud, that's a mof!

Mommy, you gots a mof on your shoe.

I can draw it in my book.

Now it's a clue.

Helping

Voddie Baucham Ministries

Voddie Baucham Ministries: "Conservatives are up-in-arms over the Democratic healthcare scheme. From town hall meetings, to talk radio, to the internet, the voice of the people is being heard. However, I am not at all convinced that the voice of the people will ultimately make a difference in the long run. My pessimism has less to do with the sinister motives of those seeking to take over the healthcare system. On the contrary, my pessimism stems from the hypocrisy of those shouting down their representatives and claiming to be “fed up”."

Friendly Neighbor and a John Deere Tractor

DSCI3087

The other day, as I was waking up, I heard a tractor – turned out to be a neighbor trimming the edges of the road – a JOHN DEERE tractor – so I woke up Joel to look.

He LOVES John Deere Tractor’s because they are Matthew’s favorite color (GREEN) and all the writing and extra’s are HIS favorite color (Yellow).  They had a John Deere Tractor party for their 3rd birthday.  Mom had made them a tractor and Bulldozer.

A few hours late, while I was outside with the kids, a man pulls up and gets out.  Turns out to be the same neighbor and wants to know if we want our tall weeds out front trimmed.

What a blessing!  Our bush hog is damaged and Dad hasn’t gotten around to fixing it yet.

So hardly an hour goes by and Anthony runs inside and says the tractor is here.  Of course we all went outside to watch.

And the boys had a great time watching and talking about this WONDERFUL tractor.  It’s GREEN.  It’s knocking down our weeds.  It’s big.  Can we ride it?

And before we could say Thank You or Goodbye – he finished and was gone.  We ran up (ok – I waddled) up to the road only to see he was headed down past the Lake Gate.  So we aren’t sure where he lives.  I’d like to bake him some cookies or have the kids make a thank you card …. if I knew which place to take it too.

What a blessing!  Isn’t God good?
