Vannan's Volunteering Place - Has a Big Show Every Year

Every Tuesday (almost)

for the past year,

Vannan has done volunteer work

at a local hippotherapy business.

She loves the horse,

and she loves the kids.

Once a year,

they do a big show / fund raiser

for the parents and community.

It was a fairly hot day,

and we didn't stay for the whole thing.

The kids were hot and tired,

and I had sprained my ankle (again).

2012-04-14\IMG_6599.JPG Vannan and "her horse" at least for that day. She was in charge of getting the horse ready, parking the horse, and keeping him comfy. And she had to saddle and unsaddle him several times. BIG isn't he?

First Week of March 2012

LaRue has been spending WAY too much time next door
with Karen and her kids.

Somewhere she learned to fold socks like this.

It's not how WE fold socks.

But it is how they do!

And she was so meticulously careful about the whole pile.

And then there is my oldest ...

Who puts the socks on her arm instead of folding them.

And talks to the socks.

LaRue was checking to see if this was her sock.

 

Scissors.

A toddler's best friend.

 

 

Oh how much she LOVES to cut!

Where Vannan has been doing school the last 5 months.

It's suppose to be her sewing nook.

Joel and his favorite (and much too small) hat.

Esther and Paul - Feb 21

LaRue is quite the "Mommy".

So one day when Esther wasn't eating,
her mom says, "Do you want Ruezy to feed you?"

Esther giggled.

"Yes!"

And so LaRue fed Esther.

Meanwhile,
across the room ...

Paul had "stolen" Joel's favorite hat.

Really it is much too small for Joel.

And Paul looks so cut in it.

 

 

What a HAM!

 

I love the sketched look.

Ok ... all done now.

And for the record ...

Steve and Karen and the kids
are now living in their own house.

They still need to get most of the furniture out of storage ..
and they really need a bunk bed for the girls room.

But they are eating and sleeping there.

And trying to get back to normal.

"Whatever that is..."  says Karen.
