Tim update 12:30am 3-5

Our friend, Steve, called a little while ago - Tim had been cleared to get up and do a bathroom trip.  He was glad to get back to bed, and they added a new bag of fluids for him.  His blood pressure is acceptable, but they want it a bit higher.

Tomorrow morning, they will run dye through him - a feasibility study - to help determine what more they can do for him.

Tim continues to be in positive spirits, joking around with his nurses and even, I hear, flirting a bit with his nurses.   This is good, I think, as he needs to be relaxed, and he only jokes around if he is relaxed or if he is horribly stressed/nervous as a coping to destress.   I think he's a little of both.

Steve offered to either go home or stay - Tim wanted him to stay the night.  So Tim IS wanting to have someone with him at this point in time.  Quite a few family members have offered to stay 1 - 4 hours each, I will try to get down there as much as possible, and Kendra has also offered to take a turn.   First, if he needs something, and can't get to the button, somebody can help him.  Second, the company helps him keep his mind occupied.  Let us know if you want to sit with him for a bit - but we will try to keep it down to one person at a time, or one person and a family member.

Of course, anyone who wants to stop by and pray for him and with him will also be appreciated.  But company needs to stay at an absolute minimum for a few days.  And by all means, send him notes of encouragement - he reads this blog - and I can forward all things to him.  He should have his laptop with him by morning - and will be able to get his cell phone charged.

He really doesn't like that he will have to miss his second show of his new radio show - RaptureReady.

We had no idea things were so horribly bad - no idea how he made it through basketball season.

  1. Tim, we and hundreds of others around the world are praying for your speedy and full recovery. Rachel and the kids are also in our thoughts and prayers as you are in hospital, and during the weeks to come. Glad you are able to joke around a bit today, but remember to take it easy and follow doctors' orders.
    Love ya! Aunt Cindy
