Win a Nook or a Kindle while helping Emilda realize her dream!!

We had 2 Compassion girls until early this Fall, our first girl was removed from the program by her parents because they were now able to pay for her schooling themselves because of our support - isn't that awesome? She had a birthday to match Vannan, and we had supported her - Roqsar from India - for 11 years.

Our second girl was able to stay in the program doing trade studies until her birthday (same as Kendra's) that she turned 21. Guamanish from Ethiopia - supported for 12 years, and for about 18 months, she had a girl from Ecuador.

So we are just recently without any Compassion children. We hope to resume soon - with a child to match Joel's birthday.

But this girl's story is amazing. Emilda is 18 and has a chance to compete in the Special Olympics for running. The money she needs has almost all been raised - amazing. But I wanted to share one of our ministries that has been such a part of our life and raising our children.

Update:  Emilda will be going to the Special Olympics.  Some may not agree with the expense of this ... but it is no different than the "Make a Wish Come True" things here in the USA.

Also, the Winner of the Kindle - says she is sending it to a missionary family that they support.
