Update Aug. 11

Things seem to be staying stable for the last few days.

We got a rocky start on school, and we are all having trouble getting up still in the mornings, it is so hot at night that we don't sleep as well until nearly midnight. The short nights and long days are really taking their toll on me, and I'll be doubly glad when LaRue makes her appearance - provided she waits until at LEAST Sept. 12. Otherwise, I enjoy her antics.

Marriana and Joel are still mostly "playing school". Joel has quite a few skipped pages from last year that we've found, so they are in his desk and he does as many as he is able to do. He has several choices of what he can do during nap time. Marriana mostly scribbles and is trying to get use to the new schedule. They spent most of an hour today playing with clay.

Vannan and Kendra are finishing up a few things that have to be done before they start next years work - but we are getting into the swing of sitting and working. They were gifted some nice metal water bottles for their desks, and all 4 are enjoying them a lot.

My baby appointment went well. We continue to laugh at how hard she is to catch long enough to measure her heart rate. We estimated 14o this week. Blood pressure was 132/70 I think. Everything looked good.

Tim is still waiting to hear back from an interview. Continues to go to the weekly support group for job hunters.

We are very much enjoying our new high speed network.

And we are very thankful that temps continue to be under 100 degrees. Today has been quite pleasant by comparison to most days.

And Tim gets back the car today. Isn't that great? Though the work has cost us plenty. We are unsure what we are going to do in a few weeks when we no longer fit into the car. Our car is a 5 passenger with a squeeze seat to accomodate a 6th person in a pinch, but it's not comfortable for the person or the driver. Oh well, God will work it out somehow.
