LaRue is firmly in the
"I can do it myself" phase ..
and
"It must be done THIS way every time" phase.
She decided it was HER job to unlock the back door.
Every time that the door had to be opened.
So she found a set of keys ....
and for several days,
she "unlocked" every door that she came to.
Until Big Brother asked to have his John Deer Tractor keys returned.
Singing
She LOVES singing.
Mostly she sings Donut Man songs
and songs from other tapes that she enjoys watching.
We are super picky about the stuff the kids are allowed to watch
And while they might watch 6 hours of TV on a rainy cold day ...
It might also be the same 3 tapes repeated and sung and reenacted
over and over.
Since Dad disconnected the internet next door,
I can't say that we do not miss the TV ...
But then it isn't much missed.
What we do miss?
Joel misses Wild Kratts and a few other learning shows.
Vannan misses Liberty Kids and CyberChase.
Tim misses the cooking shows - Iron Chef and Sweet Genius among many others.
And I miss Storage Wars and a few other House hunting shows.
But really - most of the time, it wasn't on,
so we don't miss it.
LaRue helped pack a box that we shipped.

Vannan wore these when she was 2 and almost until she was 3.
LaRue made TONS of these.
I just LOVE when she grins like this.
And I was delighted to finally catch it on the Camera.

She got a little miffed when I took it away...
which was almost funny,
but she got over it.
I'm not sure why she spent so much time
SITTING
in this basket.
Maybe she liked the wire on her toes?
Maybe the second handle made a comfy seat.
I don't remember who got this
basket ...
