Dear Santa ... 2012 .... LaRue and Joel

It's that time of year again .... Sigh.

It seems like it was just here - and some of our Christmas from last year, has only JUST finally gotten to get out and be enjoyed.

So on one hand, we are still overwhelmed from all the moving, rearranging, and compacting, decluttering, and cleaning that has encompassed our life for the past 6 - 9 months.  We are tired and somehow just not "feeling" the "normal" seasonal excitement.  Things have mostly stayed the same - or slowly deteriorated (the normal "stuff wears out" kind).

So there aren't much to our wishes ... more on the Wants and Needs.   But the last thing any of us are wanting is clutter ... if you don't know what to get us ... give us something edible and nutritious.   I'll list some of their favorites - which are often rare treats around here.

AND we will keep praying that Tim will get a job ... which would be the most wonderful gift of all this year.

BIGGEST WISHES IN YELLOW      Cross out needs have been met

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LaRue - LaRue's Amazon Wish List - for more ideas and ranked in order of her Wishing frequency.

LaRue is 3 years old.  Her favorite colors are pink and purple and glitter and blues.  She's moving into size 4T and size 10 shoes.   She doesn't really need any clothes.

Her BIGGEST wish is a Vtech Innotab 2 - Pink with a built in camera.  It's on sale for a while at ToysRUs and Walmart ... and it might end up as a Black Friday offering.

As well as a charger  and memory card

I hesitate to ask for Innotab software  in case she doesn't actually get one .... what would I do with the software?   However, gift cards to buy them or snacks later would be a GREAT solution!

She loves SNACKS

Yogurt covered raisins
Raisins
Nuts (soft nuts - walnuts, pecans, peanuts, sunflower seeds)
Dried Fruit  (small and soft)
Crackers  (almost any flavor)
Cereal
Nut Butters
Chocolate

Big Girl WATER BOTTLE - Pink!      or
either glass / silicone OR stainless steel ... 9 - 16 oz or so.  But she has plenty of plastic / cheep ones.

BackPack   -  Large - Pink - Good Quality.  She won't really need to carry it on her back, but we use them for school when we are on the road, and "things to do" when we are away from home all day.  Her back pack (hand me down from Vannan - Bethie - Esther ..) has died recently.    I found several really NICE ones from Land's End on sale!  Kendra and Vannan's have been in use for 3 years - and you can't tell it.

Target has 99 cent Glitter Crayon sets (some have more special crayons - some are just selected colors - you have to check) that she has enjoyed - we got her 3 sets for her birthday, but were slightly disappointed with the cupcake set.  She also has the Glitterati and Bejeweled ... there are samples on her Amazon Wish List ... but these are in store only.

Food for her kitchen ... like a felt sandwich making set, or salad set, or Cookies.  I've seen LOTS of make it yourself stuff that she would Love.

Also Useful - New Toothbrush, DoTerra Toothpaste (Rhoda Sells this), Chewable Vitamins (Omega 3, Vit. C, Vit D3, Multivitamins), Hylands (C+ Cold, Sinus, Teething), Vicks Vapor Rub, DoTerra Lavender Oil, DoTerra Lemon Oil, Chocolate chips, Chocolate syrup, Small Candy canes.

OTHER ideas

  snacks  AA or AAA

B Complex, Multi-vitamin for kids) - He CAN swallow.   Dr. Bonner's Lavender Soap.  "Chemicals" for his science kit.  DoTerra Toothpaste.  Vicks Vapor Rub.  Peppermints or Wintergreens.  Candy Canes - tiny ones.  DoTerra Oils from Aunt Rhoda.

Oct. 10 - 20 ... Bugs, Trees, Bluegrass, and Winks

Oct. 10

I don't have a clue what it is ...
I'm pretty sure it is missing legs.
But we found it on our front steps.
Some sort of spider I am guessing.

It had 4 legs on one side, and 2 on the other side.
And seemed to be protecting a bit of web under the railing.

Oct. 12

We took a MUCH needed break one night,
and had a delightful time listening to the Bluegrass Brethren.
Vannan talked to them afterwards and sang one of her songs for them,
and they asked her to make a tape and send it to them!
Now - we just have to figure out how to record her.

That's Vannan up there on the second row.
Ruth brought her family too,
and they enjoyed the music as well.

Ruezy and Grandma

October 13

We went to a bag sale at Salvation Army -
and came home with 5 bags of clothes for us and other friends.
HUGE blessing!

Oct. 14

I LOVE her winks.
Can't get enough of them.
Really HAVE to video them soon!

Rue turned 3.
And Grandma gave her a Birthday present!
And Grandpa ... it was from BOTH of them.

She got 2 rugs,
a sticker book,
and I think a coloring book.

We also did a library trip.

Oct. 15

We took the time to do up a science experiment.
Growing a crystal tree with ammonia and bluing -
which Grandma happily supplied for us.

TINY baby praying mantis.

Oct. 16

Vegging out in her favorite chair.

Rue's new bedroom

Rue the paper shredder.

Shredding is HARD work!

Pray about it.
