Kendra found my old face paints.

So she brought them to our Church Party.

And treated the kids to face painting.

Painted Toes - July 3, 2010

After observing that Vannan had gotten a pedicure and blue toes for 4th of July ...

Kendra decided that she and LaRue should do the same.

Doing 2 Things At Once - July 3, 2010

She found the pacifiers in her diaper bag.

She was intrigued with them.

She kept trying to put both in her mouth at once.

And hold onto their box all at the same time.

Sometimes, she got them in backwards, which confused her.

It was funny to watch.

This entertained her for most of an hour.

And occasionally, she pulls them out and plays again.

Monkey's In Bed - June 2010

Kendra and I kind of made up this recipe.

We had the fixings for Pigs in Blanket.

And I sort of know how to make monkey bread.

So we started with that idea.

I gave Kendra a few more ideas ...

and she ran with it.

Then we mixed up a scrambled egg / omlete and poured that in on top.

It was SO YUMMY!!!


Next time ...

We will use fewer Pigs and blankets ... and cut them into smaller pieces.

We also should have poured some egg into the pan first.

And added more butter and seasoning to the egg.

And some may like it with chees and bacon bits in the egg part.



So far,
We haven't had any more pigs in the house to try it again.

But this made 2 breakfasts for us when I still had all of Karen's kids.

LaRue Fell Asleep - June 2010

LaRue falls asleep nursing every night.

It's special to me, this quiet time when the house is winding down.

One night, she fell asleep and her hand was like this.

It's sort of a "I love you" in sign language.
