Those are our back steps .... and yes, they are every bit as steep as they look. Do you see the bit of black at the bottom left side? There is a black rubber mat to keep the kids from tracking mud into Papa's house when they go next door and track less mud into our house. It sort of works. But when it is wet, it is slippery, and if it is icy wet - people go flying! Don't walk on that mat if you can't see it!
When we lived in Colorado, Tim bought 2 cute little shovels for the girls (then 3 and 5) to use to help him when he was shoveling snow.
When we left Colorado, we brought the 3 shovels with us to send up to my sister who also lived in snowy winters. But for one reason or other, the 3 shovels and the sled, never have made it to her house, and now she lives on the East Coast and doesn't get much more snow than we do.
Joel was so excited to have an opportunity to use them.
