Ruth's MIL "Gramdma Kay" came to the ER, where she was to work in a few hours, to check on us.
The doctors had already checked LaRue, and amazingly, she showed no signs of any injury. They released her to focus on Joel.
Kay came in and saw some glass in her hair while I was nursing her, when she reached to remove it, LaRue began to cry ... a LOT. She looked harder and found the swelling and went to find the doctors to have her checked again. Kay took charge of her for the most of the rest of the evening - taking her for scans and helping do the IV. They released Joel just before we left.
