August 24 - September 3 ... Birthday Wishes, Doing Chores, Schoolroom, and Dryer Vents

August 24

I sat down with LaRue
and we worked on a "wish list"
for her birthday.
It says...
Innotab 2 (Vtech) (actually - she wants Joel's MP3 player ... and this is the best substitute)
Headphones (we found some of those)
Plug and batteries for the Innotab2
Snacks for her Tummy
Pink BIG KID water bottle
Pretty Church shoes - size 10 (her feet grew)
Necklace with a heart on it
Food for her play kitchen
Her party is October 27.
At 2pm
I'm hoping she has lots of friends show up...
but I keep getting "we're busy".
So, pray for a good turn out and great weather.
Party games are just a LOT more fun if you have your friends playing too.
The plan is a chocolate cake with strawberry icing.
Decorate a Balloon
Hunt for confetti Eggs
Make bracelets and crowns or such
paint finger nails
hunt for treasure in the sand
I know Rue is hoping to get presents,
but that isn't the reason we do parties.
We just like to have a social event
that they can enjoy with their friends.
We got some pretty interesting faces
trying to take a picture of her paper.
Cooking in her kitchen.
Recently,
we found part of the girls
kitchen food.
Now we only have one set of pots and pans to find.
But I think she's fine if we don't find them.
Probably lurking in the back trailer.
Snaggle tooth grin
Making cookies for the church fair
at the college.
August 25
Following her Chore Chart
August 27
We finally HAD to do the school room.
After a few days of working,
it occurred to me that I should take pictures.
Do you see all of the empty containers and drawers
on Kendra's desk?
Those were all STUFFED FULL when we started.

August 28
Paul pretending to be Vannan
Peek a Boo
Who are you?
August 30
Using the empty boxes from Kendra's desk to start sorting our supplies.
Who knew we had rebought SO MUCH!
My desk area
LaRue's desk
Joel's desk
sorting the toys
The extra desk and computer...
they are now in a different corner.
Watch below for their new location.
Sept. 1
Kendra writing her books.
Vannan taking the dryer apart.
Because she dropped a clothes pin inside.
We couldn't believe the amount of lint and stuff down there.
Rue pushes her baby around in a car seat in the stroller.
Recycling
This kid is always making something out of stuff he finds.
Grinning
Progress!
See... the computer moved!
More progress on my desk area.
Getting more of the drawers sorted.
We ended up with many empty drawers for my dad,
my sister's took other containers.
August 2
Would you believe this mask is STILL
running around my house?
It has morphed many times.
August 3
Give the dog a blanket,
and the baby will have a picnic.
I glanced out of the bathroom window to see this...
actually,
by the time a camera caught it,
half of them had flown away.
Those are red wasps.
Penny experiment,
will be featured soon on the Eagle Nest Blog
Just a cute picture.
