Provided of course that we finish last year's work. Since I just go through the books. Sometimes if a unit seems easy, I let them read it, and TEST OUT. They can do a month of work in a day or two that way. Why do the busy work if they know it?
Much of the 3 older girls work is self directed. They stop if they feel bogged down, switch to something else, and come back later to continue. I tell them what they need to do, check progress, and let them achieve that end. I think they learn more that way. Sometimes, I stop a curriculum and we do something else. Vannan bogged way down in spelling this year. We closed the book, got a lower grade level workbook, and she has been doing that instead. She is still doing spelling.
Kendra just got her state test scores back. We had her take the 10th grade test and she did above average on everything except spelling and some math and history - because we hadn't covered the material yet. We were well pleased.

Open to suggestions / ideas.
She has reached a point where she is repeating things she knows well.
But she has not made the next step in logic to write or read on her own.
So ... how do we keep her interested and motivated and learning?
She will be doing much of the same things as the 2 kindergarten classes.
Workbooks from both groups – and finish up stuff from last year.
May buy her some first grade workbooks.
Some days she seems to read – but may be sight reading, or guessing from visual and auditory clues.
Mostly - I wing it with Bethie.
