the newest updates on the many many fires in the area - as well as more detailed information on the two largest fires in the state - Bastrop and Bear Creek. Most of the homes lost to fires has been in the Bastrop fires.
Be sure to check my past posts for a link that goes to a webpage about how you can help our Volunteer Fire Departments (we've got a long fall ahead of us - and will remain at high risk for fires for a while yet - resources have been depleated - there are many fund raisers under way) ... we are unsure yet what other efforts are being made to help those displaced by fires ....
it's been a rough year all over America. We must not forget the victims of tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, and other disasters. And really, not just here in America either ... all over the world people are hurting.
