Every 2 or 3 years, the electric company comes by and tops our trees that grow too close to the lines.
For years, these two cedars have been topped and left to grow ... but this year, my sister and Dad gave them permission to bring them down - as both were showing damage from the drought a few years ago.
So the kids had a delightful time watching the men working and then running up the tree trunks after they left.
The down side is that we now have a tree trunk in the middle of our "parking lot". It has led to some really interesting problems. And gave us some really nice learning experiences for the kids.
