Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's House - Dec 27, 2013

32 pictures for you

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house usually happens on Christmas Eve.
But this year Tim worked ... so it happened late.
But it was still fun.

Six kids
Six adults.

Only one missing family - youngest brother's family.

We love getting together and having a lot of food and fun.

Everyone picks a spot to sit ... Kendra got the piano bench this year.
Vannan sat on the couch between Tim and I ...
really hard to get a  good picture that close.
Rue sat on the floor at Grandma's feet ... beside the piano.
Caught her mid-blink.
Too cute.

Joel was in the chair in the middle of the room.
He was so excited about his gift that he didn't notice
the smaller gift taped to the outside of the package.

Thankfully - it was found before it disappeared forever.

Christmas Drama.

"Look Mom!  It's something I can hide in your bed!"

And we all laughed.
Somebody always gets a suitcase or tool chest full of goodies.

This year I think almost everyone got a bag of odds and ends.

Rue's now holds all of her baby doll clothes.

Cutest Outfit!

I don't know who stoppered the sink for the girls,
but they spent around an hour in the bathroom ...
fishing and chatting and having a splashing good time.
You should have heard the singing and the chatter.
Had the Mom's and Grandma in peels of laughter.

Even though there are 2 1/2 years between the girls,
they are nearly the same size.

"And then the yellow fish swam over the shells and saw himself in the mirror ... and he thought he was really cute.
And then a whale came and scared the yellow fish ...."
"And the yellow fish came to visit the pink duck.  And then the pink duck wanted to go for a swim ...."
"Mom, what are you doing? "

Where are all the fish A?

Right Dere!

There is a fish picture on the wall behind them.

Too cute!
So I wandered into the living room - where the other 4 were sitting like this.

"What are you guys up to?"
"Just being silly."
Act SURPRISED.
You didn't get the gift you wanted...
act SAD.
Oh wait!  Pretend Grandpa found another gift ...
act HAPPY.

Silly kids.
Got to love them!
We failed to pack Rue a change of clothes.
She doesn't mind getting wet or playing in water ...
but she doesn't like BEING wet.

So Grandpa gave her a runny shirt to wear home.
And a cookie.
And milk.
I just love those blue gray eyes.
It's one thing all 4 of the kids got from their Dad.

And so we all went home.
Much thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for having us over every year...
and putting up with our shenanigans.
