Short Update

We will be taking LaRue to the "big city" - 2+ hours west of here - on Monday.  She has a 10am appointment for an EEG.  I'm really not sure how to pray for the test ... that any potential problems will show up?  Then we'll make an appointment with another doctor up there.

Pray for safety, and that LaRue travels well.  We haven't decided whether to take the other kids with us or not.   If LaRue is doing really well, we might stop and walk a store for a short while to look at decorations.  Walking being the goal before a long ride home.

LaRue is doing pretty good on her medicine - usually takes it all, though this morning she wanted to spit it out.  As far as we can tell, she seems to be responding to this all well.  She laughs and smiles and coos, blows bubbles, wiggles a LOT, can inch her way across a bed in search of Mom, nurses a lot, and fills her diaper often and especially loves to listen to Vannan sing.  Joel's bump on his head is actually bigger than hers, but from what the doctors explained, that is part of the problem.

The girls have been a big help this week cuddling her.  Vannan has been getting in afternoon naps holding her.  It gives me some extra time to do paperwork and cleaning.  We almost have things caught back up.  My dad bombed our trailer for roaches while we were gone - and we plan to do it again soon.  We still haven't gotten back into a routine - I'm very tired and LaRue is completely on a different schedule now.

We also need to find a new pediatrician - ours isn't taking new patients.  It would be easier for us to just switch them all to the same one.  Please pray Tim finds just the right one.

Christmas has been shoved to a back burner -I hope folks understand.  I'm still going to try to mail off a few cards - the highlight of Christmas for me is getting the stamper out and stamping little footprints and letting people know about our LaRue's birth and getting everybody signing cards .... and getting lots of pictures and newsy letters in the mail.   Making presents this year was iffy before, and with only 3 weeks to go, now pretty much out of the question.  I'll look around for craft kits that are in Mom's and my things and let the little ones do some - send some for Rhoda to do with Marriana and her boys... I don't know.  Lack of sleep and all of the events have left me feeling unfocused.
