Not much has happened since the big ice storm.
Grub 1 turned 12 ... I think? And HL turned 9. Matthew C turned 9 yesterday. All 3 of Tim's nieces and nephew's have an April birthday - Allison turned 3, Josh tuned 5, and Aaron turned 11.
My mom would have been 66. She's been gone almost 5 years.
Tim turned 50 and had a "big" party. Just over 30 people came. We had had too much "doom and gloom" the past few years, so opted for a "You're Still a Spring Chicken" theme. And as soon as I figure out my new computer - I'm planning to get pictures from Easter and his birthday posted.
I do need a HUGE favor though .... see, Tim bought me a new computer with our tax refund .... since mine was 10 years old and needed some big updates. After considering all options, we got a computer.
Anyway ... my old email program (Outlook Express) didn't work anymore, and so I began trying different offline email programs. I've settled on Thunderbird ... but somewhere along the way, I've lost my address book ... which is offline on the other computer.
So the favor ... please email me .... I'm not posting my email here, if you are a friend or relative, you either have my email address, or can find me on Facebook to get it. Just send a "hello" with "address" as the subject, and I'll collect them on my end. Otherwise, I have to copy and enter them by hand.
Fortunately, the computer is only across the room being used by Joel and Rue for school. Mostly it is off.
Oh yes, Joel's birthday party is May 17 along with Matthew C. We'll let Matthew's family host it this year out at their house. It will be 4 - 6pm. One reason I need email addresses is to make sure the relatives know where to come for the singing, games, cake and ice cream. Gifts are just an added bonus and not really expected. He loves Lego's, K'nex, and robots .... and stuff he can fiddle around with in his pocket. Lately he's been running around with a canister wheel in his pocket. He also loves science books and kits, especially physics and electricity. Our "game" will be hunting animals ... they will be making binocular's out of toilet paper tubes (SAVE US SOME IF YOU CAN!!!) and then they will look all over the yard to collect as many animals as they can find ... which will be in their 1/2 acre of trees in their back yard. We'll be setting up a similar hunt for the littler kids in the front yard as well.
Thanks so VERY much.
