Love Is ... Making Breakfast for everybody
Joel set out all of the bowls.
I poured the cereal.
He chopped up strawberries and bananas.
And then he found some yogurt and put it on top.

The Squash and the Hot Pepper.
Our zucchini squash was BEAUTIFUL.
We even had a few small ones growing.
There were 6 of them, with a HOT pepper growing in the middle.

tomatoe worms (those things are HUGE)

a black stink bug looking thing destroyed ALL of our squash plants

It's a birthday party.
Kendra thinks it was MP3's birthday party.
MP is his teddy bear that he sleeps with every night.
MP has an MP3 player in his tummy.
Project: Move the Bookshelves - June 17
The goal was to move these two bookshelves
that have been the wall to Joel's bedroom ....
To this spot in the kitchen.
To make the kitchen and livingroom two separate rooms.
So we took stacks and stacks of books off of the shelves.
And now we have this entry hallway made out of bookshelves.
In theory - it's working.
But now instead of dropping everything in the "library" ...
it's getting dropped and stacked in the entry.
Well
we will continue to sort
throw away
reduce
repurpose
and maybe someday
We'll be able to afford a bigger place with a room
that I can actually label as my School Room.

She is not happy.
She is scared.
Kendra is being attacked by the BIG YELLOW MONSTER.
Joel wasn't there to hug her.
Mommy was behind the flashing light.
But Marriana helped her.

LaRue and Jess at 8 months - June 2010
Hard to believe that LaRue was smaller than Jess when we brought her home.
They are getting to be good friends.
And enjoy their monthly chats.
Learning to Pull Up and Stand - June 16, 2010
This was the week - the day - that LaRue figured out how to pull herself up and cruise furniture.
Today, she's a pro.
But then, I watched her carefully to make sure she didn't fall and hit her head.
She was fascinated by the spots of clay on the top of the stool.
I love these stools.
My mom bought them for the girls to use as desks back when they were very small.
Can't find them like this anymore.
And the kids STILL use them as desks.

June 7 - Best Friends
These two have a birthday coming up.
Marriana will be 4 Aug. 24.
Esther will be 3 on Aug. 20.
But they don't really realize that they are a year apart -
they are just really good friends.
